Apple, Google Block Nudify Searches in the App Stores

In a June 2026 test, Apple and Google blocked searches for the words “nudify,” “undress,” “deepnude,” and “deepfake” in their app stores. Apple also blocked searches for “AI NSFW.” This followed an April 2026 TTP investigation which found that searches for these terms in the app stores often produced nudify apps.

Google also told TTP in September 2026 it has restricted its autocomplete function related to nudify terms. TTP found in its April 2026 investigation that when a user began typing a nudify-related word in the app store search field, Apple and Google had suggested additional nudify search terms before the user finished typing.
