Apple Announces New Rules to Crack Down on Nudify Apps

In October 2026, Apple announced a series of policy changes to crack down on “nudify” apps. The company added language to its app review guidelines prohibiting apps that generate “nonconsensual intimate imagery,” including images generated with AI. It also tightened rules against apps with “hidden, dormant, or undocumented features,” such as nudify apps that hide their deepfake tools behind a paywall. The announcement came three days after TTP asked Apple for comment on a report about how easy it is for teens to find and download nudify apps in the App Store.
