YouTube Gives Option to Disable Video Recommendations

In August 2023, YouTube gave users a way to get rid of video recommendations on their home page by switching off their watch history. YouTube didn’t state the reason for the change, but it came just months after a TTP report detailing how YouTube recommended hundreds of gun-related videos to the home pages of young gamer accounts—and gave them no way to turn off the recommendations.
